Swiftgate 09′: Kanye Calls Swift to Apologize

Kanye West apologized to Swift today.  Per CNN:

West phoned Swift following her appearance on ABC’s “The View” Tuesday, her publicist said.

Swift talked about it in a radio interview with ABC.

“Kanye did call me and he was very sincere in his apology,” she said. “And I accepted that apology.”

The apology came the morning after West, in an interview with Jay Leno, appeared to blame the pain of his mother’s death two years ago for his “rude” behavior.

The rapper told Leno he would now “take some time off” to think about how he will “make it through the rest of this life.”

In other news, apparently it’s a slow news day for CNN because they have updated on this story 5 times today.  I’m sick of talking about these two, so unless something ridiculous happens again, I won’t be talking about either of these two anymore.

Here is the flier that Jessica “Super-Smart McGenius Pants” Simpson posted on Twitter after revealing she saw a coyote take her dog away.

What I dont get is why in God’s name she wasted her time making this stupid flier.  Lady, you’re fucking dog is dead.  The coyote isn’t going to re-enact some Milo and Otis scene and take this barking ”kick me” sign under it’s wing (paw?) to share in the wonders of freedom.  He’s going to rip that little bitch apart and then start eating it through a hole in it’s stomach.  Gruesome?  You bet yer ass!

Also, since when is caramel white.  What a fucking idiot.  I can’t handle you fucking idiots sometimes.

Baltimore College Student Kills Intruder With Samurai Sword

The story: A student at John’s Hopkins heard an intruder in his off campus Baltimore house last night. Shortly before that, his house was broken into and the thief stole two laptops and a Playstation. When the kid heard noises, he called 911. Then his video game instincts kicked in and he went to defend his territory.  He somehow gets to the garage and the thief allegedly lunged at the kid. The kid then cut that motherfucker with his sword and ended up killing the him.

Witnesses heard the screams of the burglar as he was laying on the ground with his hand nearly cut clean from his arm. An off duty officer came responding to the call with John’s Hopkins security. The intruder eventually died.

The police have the kid in custody right now. And there are some sketchy details to work out. For example, and I’m not a lawyer here, but I thought you had to retreat before you could use force??? And I don’t know how important it will be that the garage isn’t attached to the house. Maybe a lawyer/law student could inform me.

Nevertheless – I applaud this kid. The guy who broke into his house had 29 prior convictions for this type of crime. He had been released from jail two days prior to this for stealing a car. He just picked the wrong kid to rob. How was he supposed to know that the kid would be in possession of a fucking samurai sword?

Jay Leno v Kanye West – Did Leno Go Too Far

I spoke with some idiot in my office today who compared Taylor Swift’s upstaging at the VMAs on sunday with how Kanye felt when Leno asked him about what his mother would think of his antics.  Obviously awestruck and devastatingly contemplative, I saw a broken man who, for the first time in his ridiculous career of one stupid stunt to the next, gave more of an apology in his own disappointed silence than any beautiful arrangement of words could ever accomplish.

When I first saw this clip, I felt vindicated.  Someone had finally said what we had all been thinking for so long.  As much  as Kanye talks about his mom and what she accomplished in raising such an awesome guy *dismissive wank* you would think he would use the approval of his mother as a moral compass for which to guide his actions.  Instead he is a acting like a child crying out because of the immense deal of pain his is in.  When I realized this, I felt sorry for Kanye and the seed of despise was planted in me for Jay Leno.

Like my stupid co-worker, somehow Leno thought it appropriate if not justifiable to use his show as the medium to do reprimand Kanye on such a personal and emotional level.  Asking what Kanye’s mother would think shouldn’t have been done by some old white dude whose only claim to relevance is Kanye’s heart-break during the premeire of his spite-conceived and contrived yawn-fest of a show.

Go to hell Leno.  And for the record, Kanye never said that Swift didn’t deserve the award.  This shit is being blown out of proportion.  He made a drunk ass out of himself.  Period.  We’ve all done it.  I feel bad for the girl but she has enough money and awards to keep her content.  The award winners are determined by the fans of MTV for christ’s sake. 

I’m not saying what Kanye did was ok AT ALL.  He broke Taylor’s heart and for that he can’t be forgiven.  Someone definitely needs to give Kanye a spiritual and philosophical bitch-slap so he doesn’t continue this streak of hurting people at awards shows.

Despite all of that, nothing justifies having someone Kanye doesn’t even know rub salt on his wounds infront of people so fucking clueless they actually watched this show.  And good thing Kanye fucked up so bad the night before and had to keep his mouth shut.  It wouldn’t have done too well for Leno’s first show to have Kanye knock out an old man.

Katy Perry Makes Out With Russell Brand

Page Six reports that Katy Perry and Russell Brand were making out at Lady Gaga’s VMA after party. Why anyone would be at Lady Gaga’s after party is what boggles my mind. But, I guess if anyone would be there, it would be Katy Perry.

Brand had said onstage at the VMAs that he had a thing for Katy Perry. Page Six reports:

The voracious womanizer was seen admiring Perry’s cleavage before kissing her as they sat on a banquette. An onlooker at the Meatpacking District hot spot told Page Six, “They were sitting very close together, flirting and whispering to each other with their faces very close. Then Russell leaned in for a long kiss. It didn’t look like this was the first time. He was looking extremely pleased with himself.”

It was also reported that Perry made out with John Mayer the night before. What are we in middle school? If this wasn’t Katy “Tits McBiCurious” Perry, this would be a complete waste of good gossip time. I don’t want to hear about some back-room make-out session that Perry had with Russell Brand: The Guy Who Dresses as a Pirate to Get Laid. I want to hear how the pirate had Katy bent over one of her stupid cherry stage props for an “Immaculate Reception”.  God Bless It.
